Half of Dr. Oz 's facts not true, say real-world doctors

Real-world doctors have done a fact-check of the advice doled out by Dr. Oz and claim that less than 60% of the advice given on TV's popular "The Dr. Oz Show" are true and can be supported by even modest medical evidence.

The researchers fact-checked Dr. Mehmet Oz and his on-air guests and found legitimate studies related to 11 percent of the recommendations made on the show. They found that in all these cases, the recommendations ran counter to the medical literature.
