Guinea court gives life sentences to 11 people accused in Ebola worker killings

CONAKRY, Guinea (AP) — A Guinea court has sentenced 11 people to life in prison at a trial for those accused of killing eight Ebola health workers and journalists last year.

Judge Mamadou Diop on Tuesday released 15 other suspects, according to state TV. The trial in the town of N'Nzerekore, about 900 kilometers (560 miles) from the capital Conakry, opened about a month ago.
