I was privileged to join 400,000 others in New York City this past Sunday demanding swift action to urgently address the problem of global climate change. The streets were packed as far as the eye could see with young and old, rich and poor, of all races and religions, joined by their common humanity.
Despite the recent onslaught of bad environmental news – threatened irreversible melting of the West Antarctic ice sheet, this year on track to be one of the hottest in recorded history – this was a march of hope. There would be little point in being in the streets were it not for our common belief...
