Gravity or Dust: An Epic Debate on the Universe

Scientists working the BICEP2 experiment—a South-Pole-based microwave telescope—announced in March that they believe they have found gravity waves that date back to the early universe—around the period just after the Big Bang. Since this announcement, the cosmological community have been thrillingly and furiously hashing around its implications in today’s world.

Part of this discussion, however, includes claims that these gravity waves are nothing more than cosmic dust floating through Milky Way. Evidence exists that this may very well be the case, so the debate continues.
