Kid Koala’s “Space Cadet Headphone” tour took audiences through the mind of the famed turntabalist and included personalized headsets and inflatable “space pods” for attendees to perch on. The immersive concert experience was an audiovisual storybook that came to life with the accompaniment of a piano, turntables, large projection screens and both live and cut narratives, taken from his Space Cadet graphic novel and CD. Fans got to participate in games and giveaways as well as videogame quests alongside the Montreal artist. Eclectic artifacts were placed poignantly throughout each performance space, pulling it all together in a well-crafted pilgrimage of sight, sound and touch.
