Governor designates week for welcoming immigrants; Convention planned in Warren

WARREN, MI -- The governor has designated this week Welcoming Week in Michigan, an annual celebration of immigration, with a Wednesday convention planned in Macomb County.

The Wednesday gathering will run all day at Macomb County Community college, with discussions on immigrants' rights, bilingual education, government ID card programs and other resources.
