Sweeping new anti-terrorism powers introduced by the federal government Friday include giving CSIS agents police-like powers to disrupt terrorist operations, allow authorities to remove terrorist propaganda from the Internet, and make it a crime to promote or encourage others to engage in terrorism in Canada.

The proposed legislation would create new “no-fly” powers to prevent “high-risk foreign travellers” from boarding Canadian flights to reach overseas battlegrounds.
