Google-acquired start-up releases spoon for unsteady hands

Lift Labs, a start-up that was originally funded by the National Institutes of Health, has unveiled its Lifeware spoon. The utensil cancels out tremors to help people with Parkinson's disease keep their food on the spoon while eating.

A spoon equipped with sensors capable of detecting tremors in the hand has been released by Lift Labs, which was a start-up funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) before being acquired by Google in September.
