General Electric Revenue Disappoints as Restructuring Continues

As General Electric continues its restructuring and its refocusing of its energies on its core business, the company reported disappointing revenue figures in its quarterly report for the first calendar quarter of 2015.

Revenue was down 12 percent to $29.4 billion when taking into account the recent decision to spinoff GE Capital, but without that included, revenue was down by only 3 percent to $33.1 billion; by itself, GE Capital lost a whopping 39 percent, with a revenue of only $5.98 billion last quarter.
