Galapagos Tortoise Has Developed Taste for Invasive Plants

Galapagos tortoises that currently live in the South Pacific have begun eating invasive plants that could be beneficial for their health as per a new study. These vegetables appear to be providing a nutritional edge to these endangered animals.

The island of Santa Cruz located in the Galapagos is an extinct volcano that is heavily populated by human beings. People residing there have farmed much of the rich soil that had covered large portions of the island with farm crops.
