Fund established to help pets like Ebola patient’s dog in emergency situations

The city of Dallas is partnering with Dallas Companion Animal Project to establish a fund to help pets in emergency situations such as Ebola or natural disasters.

Donations to the Dallas Pet Emergency Transition Services will go toward offsetting the costs of helping Bentley, the dog of critical care nurse Nina Pham who is being treated for Ebola, and other pets displaced or affected by similar situations, the city said.
