(Bloomberg) -- French President Francois Hollande condemned an attack on a restaurant in the Malian capital of Bamako that killed five people, probably including a French national and a Belgian citizen.

The French embassy is tightening security and it has formed a crisis team, Hollande said on Saturday in a statement on the presidency’s website. The attack took place on Friday at La Terrasse restaurant in a district of the West African city popular with expatriates, Hollande said.
