(CNN)French Justice Minister Christiane Taubira has resigned, according to a statement from the office of President Francois Hollande on Wednesday.
Her resignation came as Parliament prepared to consider controversial plans to strip convicted terrorists of their French nationality, which Taubira had expressed reservations about.
