Montevideo, Uruguay: Uruguayans voted in a presidential runoff Sunday, with former president Tabare Vazquez favored to extend the left's 10-year hold on power, though not necessarily the South American country's ground-breaking marijuana laws.

Uruguay's first leftist president, Vazquez, 74, faces youthful center-right challenger Luis Lacalle Pou, 41, a former president's son and passionate surfer who appears to have lost steam heading into the final round of polling.
