A former clerk for the city of Chicago has pleaded guilty to charges she stole about $741,000 in taxpayer money for personal use.
Antionette Chenier of Midlothian on Tuesday told U.S. District Judge Samuel Der-Yeghiayan that she stole payments meant forChicago's Office of Emergency Management and Communication between August 2008 and January 2014. She was working for the city's Department of Transportation at the time.
