Former British leader David Cameron said Monday that he will step down from his position in Parliament because he wants to avoid being a "distraction" for Prime Minister Theresa May.
Cameron, 49, resigned from his post as prime minister in June in the wake of his failure to persuade a majority of Britons to support continued membership in the European Union.
