Flu cases in Chicago area climb, keep hospitals busy

They are heading to hospitals in droves, coughing and sneezing, feverish and suffering.

"I don't remember seeing emergency departments stressed like this before because of the flu," said Dr. Douglas Propp, medical director and chairman of the emergency department at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. "This is very unique."
