Florida puts executions on hold as high court debates anesthetic

TALLAHASSEE (Reuters) - Florida’s highest court put executions on hold Tuesday while the U.S. Supreme Court decides whether use of a controversial general anesthetic constitutes “cruel and unusual” punishment of condemned killers.
