MEXICO CITY – The Popocatepetl volcano east of Mexico City has been spewing ash into the sky, forcing cancellation of flights at the nearby Puebla International Airport for a second consecutive day.

The government's airport oversight agency says through its Twitter account Thursday that flights to Monterrey, Houston, Guadalajara, as well as inbound flights from Cancun and Dallas were affected. The agency says the ash is being cleaned up.
