First Take: Obama's nuclear spring

WASHINGTON — It was 72 degrees, and the crab apple trees were starting to bloom when President Obama walked out into the Rose Garden on Thursday to announce a nuclear deal with Iran that was two cold winters in the making.

"I am convinced that if this framework leads to a final, comprehensive deal, it will make our country, our allies and our world safer," he said. "This has been a long time coming."
