FIRST robot competition teaches high school students life lessons

It's Saturday 9am and sports fans fill the Olympic Park Sports Centre arena. Standing in the centre of the multi-purpose court below, a commentator welcomes teams of high school students and their dedicated supporters, mainly parents, who have travelled from around Australia and Asia for the three-day event.

This may be a competition for teenagers but junior teams feed into the pros. Champions will be made here today. It's just that those athletes aren't human.
