The success of Fifty Shades of Grey has, naturally, led to all kinds of rumors about its sequel. Will director Sam Taylor-Johnson be back? Will stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan return? Which Beyoncé song will they remix for the sequel?!? (“Drunk in Love,” we bet, on that last one.) But lately, much of the talk around the sequel has centered squarely on the two stars, who are rumored to be asking for major raises, with some reports claiming they’re looking for seven-figure paydays for the next films.
The Hollywood Reporter interviewed Fifty Shades of Grey producer Dana Brunetti, and asked, essentially point-blank, “What do you think of Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan wanting big raises?,” and he seemed to confirm the rumors in his answer.
