In the Houston area, it seems every city block or two boasts a Tex-Mex restaurant. Some are fast-food chains, some small mom-and-pop joints. But on virtually every menu there's a taquito, corn tortillas filled with beef or chicken and served hot and crispy fresh out of the deep fryer.
