A federal judge is expected to rule on whether a Chicago nonprofit group can move ahead with a lawsuit seeking to stop "Star Wars'" filmmaker George Lucas' plan to build a $400 million museum on the shores of Lake Michigan.

U.S. District Judge John W. Darrah is expected to rule Thursday on a lawsuit filed by Friends of the Parks. The group contends construction of a 300,000-square-foot Lucas Museum of Narrative Art would violate public-trust laws that restrict lakefront development.
