FDA alerts consumers that un-branded tattoo inks cause serious infections

Last month White and Blue Lion Inc., a Californian company recalled inks that were sold in the market as in-home tattoo kits. This was done when they tested the unopened bottles and found that contamination through bacteria was present. The Food and Drug Administration warns tattoo parlors that some brands of tattoo inks can cause skin infections for individuals.

Most of the Tattoo artists generally operated in unsanitary surroundings in the past using dirty needles. Today there are parlors that specialize in this art.
