Farmers Remind Public to Shop, Make Local Following Hummus Recall

NORTH CAROLINA -- Some North Carolina farmers say the recall of thousands of cases of Sabra brand hummus is a good reminder for consumers to pay more attention to where they shop. The company announced earlier this week it was recalling 30,000 cases of its Classic Hummus because of possible Listeria contamination. Farmers say there's a better way to avoid that issue, shop and make local.

Robin Ross and her husband Jay own Bell's Best Berries on 17 acres of land in Union County. They provide local restaurants, markets and the average person with fresh produce.
