Expected Meteor Shower Disappointments

For hundreds of years people have been looking to the skies in mid-November to see a spectacular meteor shower. The Leonid meteor shower that will be visible on the night of November 17th is expected to be unfortunately disappointing this year. The meteor shower is caused by the comet Tempel-Tuttle that creates a path of icy debris that falls through the cosmos and can be seen around the world.
