Exoskeleton for the paralyzed wins FDA approval

The federal Food and Drug Administration gave its approval Thursday for a company to sell the first motorized exoskeleton device intended to help paralyzed people sit, stand and walk with assistance.

Argo Medical Technologies of Marlborough, Mass., said its ReWalk device is a powered robotic exoskeleton that provides hip and knee motion for people with spinal cord injuries resulting in lower body paralysis.
