‘Exodus’ plagued by uninspired script

Ridley Scott’s $140 million biblical folly “Exodus: Gods and Kings,” in 3-D no less, is such a scream you have to admire it. In a film striving for semi-realism and literal interpretations of the Old Testament, Moses and Ramses are played by actors who are Welsh and Australian respectively (Christian Bale and Joel Edgerton), speaking with British accents, although Edgerton’s Aussie creeps in.

John Turturro, an Italian-American with olive skin, plays Seti, Ramses’ father and Moses’ devoted father figure.
