Eurostar services resume through Channel Tunnel after alarm

LONDON — Eurostar passenger services have resumed through the Channel Tunnel after a smoldering load on a truck triggered an alarm that shut down services and caused severe disruption for thousands of passengers.

Freight services also resumed early Sunday between England and France in the south tunnel. John Keefe, the spokesman for tunnel operator Eurotunnel, said the freight train affected by Saturday’s incident must still be removed from the north tunnel.
