DAR ES SALAAM, April 16 (Reuters) - The European Union has released 53.26 million euros ($56.7 million) in aid to Tanzania as part of a budget support package that had been suspended over corruption allegations in the east African nation.

Tanzania, one of Africa's biggest per capita aid recipients, has been dogged by accusations of graft within the energy sector as it prepares to start large-scale natural gas production from its big off-shore discoveries.
