Emirates signs $16 billion engine deal with GE for 777x fleet

DUBAIDubai's Emirates airlines [EMIRA.UL] on Monday said it signed a $16 billion service contract with GE's aviation unit for engines powering the airline's 777x fleet.

The contract will include maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of the GE9X engines that will power the airline's fleet of 150 Boeing 777X aircraft over a period of 12 years, it said in a statement.
