An Egyptian court is hearing an appeal Thursday by three Al Jazeera journalists convicted of supporting the Muslim Brotherhood in a case that has drawn international criticism.

Australian Peter Greste, Canadian-Egyptian Mohamed Fahmy and Egyptian Baher Mohamed have been in jail for more than a year after being arrested at a Cairo hotel where they were working. They were convicted in July, with a court giving Greste and Fahmy seven-year sentences and 10 years to Mohamed.
