Egyptian court acquits Mubarak-era prime minister, interior minister in corruption case

CAIRO – Egypt's official news agency is reporting that a Cairo court has acquitted deposed President Hosni Mubarak's prime minister and interior minister in a corruption case.

The MENA news agency says the Cairo Criminal Court made the ruling Tuesday in the retrial of former Premier Ahmed Nazif and former Interior Minister Habib el-Adly, both of whom served in Mubarak's last Cabinet. The men faced charges of squandering public money.
