MOSCOW — An EgyptAir passenger plane flying from Cairo to Beijing made an emergency landing in Uzbekistan on Wednesday after authorities in the Central Asian country said they received information that a bomb may be aboard the Airbus A330.
The plane, carrying 118 passengers and 17 crew members, made the emergency landing in the small city of Urgench in western Uzbekistan close to 8 a.m. local time, Uzbekistan Airlines said in a statement.
