‘Eco-Atkins,’ a low-carb vegan diet, helps shed excess pounds, lower heart disease risk, Ontario study suggests

New research into a low-carb vegan diet has found a way to reduce weight and the risk of heart disease significantly.

The study, published in British Medical Journal Open, was conducted by researchers at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto; the diet is being called Eco-Atkins.
