Ebola Threatens Much of the World's Chocolate Supply

NORTH CAROLINA -- The World Cocoa Foundation announced Wednesday, at its 26th Partnership Meeting and Cocoa Sustainability Trade Fair, a donation of $600,000 to fight Ebola in West Africa, which is where the majority of the cacao beans are harvested.

The world's biggest producers of the cacao bean, the raw ingredient in chocolate, are surrounded by countries fighting the Ebola virus - making it difficult for growers to get the harvest help they need.
