Ebola attacks spouses of 2 victims

The Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, has confirmed that two new cases of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) have been discovered in Nigeria, bringing to 14, the total number of cases recorded so far in the country. The new victims are spouses of earlier victims.

The minister, who made this known in Abuja, while briefing newsmen on Friday, said the two new cases, unlike previous ones, are secondary contacts of the index case: Liberian-American, Mr Patrick Sawyer.
