Earthquake Strikes North Korea Near Nuclear Test Site

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake has hit North Korea near the site of an earlier nuclear weapons test, officials said Tuesday night.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the tremblor, about 12 miles ENE of Sungjibaegam, but the South Korean weather agency said there were signs that it was "artificial."
