Drillers put 10 oil rigs back to work this week

HOUSTON – U.S. drillers dispatched 10 more oil rigs back to the field this past week, bringing the nation’s overall rig count to its highest point in four months, Baker Hughes data showed Friday.

The nation’s rig count has risen to 440, up from 404 in May. That’s still down from more than 1,900 before crude prices collapsed. In Texas, oil companies put three drilling rigs back to work.
