As expected, Dr. Dre tops Forbes magazines’ 2014 Hip-Hop Cash Kings List. The veteran producer has a bountiful year financially thanks to Apple buying his Beats Electronics company for $3 billion. Out of that deal, Dre earned a pretax cut of $620 million.
Tied at the No. 2 position is Jay Z and Diddy, who both earned $60 million. Hov’s extensive touring schedule, his D’Usse cognac line and his Roc Nation and Roc Nation Sports companies were all successful endeavors within the past year.
