LISBON, April 12 (Reuters) - African businesswoman Isabel dos Santos remains committed to a merger between Portugal's leading listed banks, Millennium bcp and Banco BPI , and wants a quick resolution to a takeover bid for BPI by Spain's Caixabank, the head of her holding company said.
Dos Santos' holding company, Santoro is the second largest shareholder in BPI after Caixabank SA, and has proposed that BPI vote on lifting a 20 percent cap on shareholders' voting rights at a shareholder assembly on April 29.
