Dollar Tree same-store sales slow, stock drops with it

Shares of Dollar Tree (DLTR) fell more than 7% in early trading following the company's fiscal second quarter earnings report Thursday morning.

The discount chain reported an increase of 1.2% in same-store sales, a key metric in evaluating retailers, which was below the 2.7% increase in the same period last year.
