RENO, NV - The debate on whether children should be vaccinated is often due to a fear of possible side effects. Many parents who refuse to vaccinate their children against measles say it's because they fear their child will develop autism or some other health issue as a result, but there are doctors who argue that there is no definitive link between the two.

Dr. William Schaffner, professor of preventive medicine at Vanderbilt University says that while most biological products can never be deemed 100% safe, adverse events are extremely rare.
