Dogs joined the earlier settlements in the American continent with delay: Study

An all-new research focusing on the mitochondrial DNA of dogs has revealed that dogs were a relatively late addition to the American continents. It has been found that they joined their human masters in this continent around 10,000 years ago, much later than when humans first arrived around 15,000 years ago.

This study has been led by researcher Kelsey Witt from the University of Illinois.
