The last time Fox News suspended its contract with Newt Gingrich, in 2011, the former House speaker was running for office. Did the top-rated cable channel just split with Gingrich again for the same reason?
Officially, the answer is no. Jay Wallace, Fox News executive vice president, said the network and Gingrich decided it would be best to part ways because a lot of people think that Gingrich will be Donald Trump's running mate.
