Doctors not to Attend Patients Due to Cuts in Medicaid Pays

According to the nonpartisan Urban Institute, the two-year pay rise for primary care doctors who see Medicaid patients is all set to expire on December 31.

Andy Pasternak, a family doctor in Reno, Nev., said that he has seen more than 100 new Medicaid patients this year after the state expanded the insurance program under the Affordable Care Act. And will not be seeing the patients after December 31.
