DNA responsible for enlargement of human brains identified

A study published in the journal Current Biology points out that it is a segment of human DNA which is responsible for large human brains. For the new study, researchers explored databases of genomic data from humans and chimpanzees, in order to find enhancers expressed primarily in the brain tissue and early in development.
