Dive inside an active volcano with beautiful GoPro video

Generally, GoPro cameras are shown off — and reach the staggering heights of their potential — when its videos capture extreme situations, as they so often do. Not too long ago, though, we got to see the softer side of GoPro, as the company announced a harness that straps the camera onto a dog and allows you to see the world the way your best friend does. While that’s a noble and adorable endeavor, GoPro cameras have gone right back to being used to show you what your life would be like if only you were more extreme. This time around: coming face-to-face with an active volcano.

This video, seen below, is the product of the Marum Volcano Expedition, where brave adventurers ventured to the South Pacific Ocean to the island of Vanuatu.
