Distraction Techniques are good to Reduce Pain During Conscious Surgery

For a few surgical procedures like removal of varicose veins patients have to remain awake. The process is safe but patients experience pain as well as anxiety. The new study, conducted by the researchers from the University of Surrey, says that simple methods of distraction could help resolve such kinds of experiences.

In order to reach their findings that were published in the European Journal of Pain Prof. Jane Ogden along with colleagues enrolled around 398 patients who were due to go through varicose vein surgery.
